Archie Hamilton has been selected by the MSA (The Royal Automobile Club Motor Sports Association) to be a member of its expanded Academy programme. He will benefit from a number of development sessions with MSA Academy coaches throughout the year and have access to MSA coaches to help him as he needs support.
Archie is currently competing in the Dunlop 24H Dubai, with the race starting today, Friday at 10am GMT. The Gulf Racing number 9 car set the sixth fastest time in night qualifying yesterday and will start from 9th on the grid.
“Wow – what a brilliant start to the year. It’s only the second week in January and already I’ve been chosen as a promising driver and I’m at a race track taking part in a 24 hour race! It’s a great honour to be chosen by the MSA for their programme. I know there’s a lot of competition for places so I intend to make the most of all the assistance and support that they are offering and repay their faith with results on track.”
Robert Reid, MSA Performance Director & 2001 World Rally Champion Co-driver
“Archie is a driver who is ultimately going places and the MSA Academy feels that we can help him propel his career. He has achieved success on track, which combined with his personality made us feel that he is someone we want to support.”
