Archie Hamilton

Biography

Archie was born in London. He grew up in Hook, Hampshire and went to Millfield School in Somerset.

After leaving school Archie focused on racing and qualifying as a race instructor before starting a degree course in Business management in 2010.

Away from the track Archie is an avid Chelsea supporter. He plays tennis and squash and loves spending time with his family dogs.

2011

  • Protyre Formula Renault Finals - BARC vice-champion - 5 podiums including 3 wins from 6 races
  • Formula Renault BARC with Fortec Motorsport, 5 podium finishes, team champions
  • LMP2 Testing – In California with PR1 Motorsports
  • Gulf Lamborghini testing
  • Spa 24 Hours in BMW Z4 GT3 with Faster Racing – running 3rd in ProAm class until retirement following technical failure in hour 20

2010

  • Porsche Carrera Cup - Redline Racing - 5 podium finishes
  • Driver of the Weekend Porsche Carrera Cup - Oulton Park
  • Podium finisher at Le Mans 24 Hours in Junior class Porsche Carrera Cup France, support race
  • Top ten finish in Britcar 24 Hour in Seat Lean Supercopa - Welch Motorsport
  • Runner up in Johnny Herbert Karting Challenge
  • LMP2 Testing - Hope Pole Vision Racing
  • Aston Martin GT1 Testing - Silverstone
  • Nominated for Basingstoke Sports Personality of the Year 2010

2009

  • Formula Renault BARC - Antel Motorsport - 9th Overall
  • Nominated for Basingstoke Sports Personality of the Year 2009

2008

  • Competed in Formula Ford 1600 National Championship. Finished 10th overall
  • Raced in Formula Ford Festival Duratec Class starting on pole position for one race

2007

  • Won Rookie Cup at Bayford Meadows (Kent) on debut in Junior Rotax.
  • Competed in Club Races at Clay Pigeon (Dorchester) in Junior Rotax
  • Tested a Formula Ford with Century Motorsport at Mallory Park
  • Won on Formula Ford Debut at Silverstone, with a 1st and 2nd over the weekend
  • Competed in the prestigious Castle Combe Carnival, with team Century Motorsport

2002 – 2006

  • Karting in Honda Cadets at Club Meetings across the country including three wins and a lap record
